Dysprosium oxide is a sesquioxide compound of the rare earth metal dysprosium. It is a pastel yellowish-greenish, slightly hygroscopic powder having specialized uses in ceramics, glass, phosphors, lasers, as a Faraday rotator and dysprosium metal halide lamps.
