Metanephric adenoma is a rare, benign tumour of the kidney, that can have a microscopic appearance similar to a nephroblastoma , or a papillary renal cell carcinoma.
It should not be confused with the pathologically unrelated, yet similar sounding, mesonephric adenoma.
