Perianal cellulitis is a cutaneous condition that presents as sharply demarcated, bright, perianal erythema extending 2–3 cm around the anal verge. Also called Perianal streptococcal dermatitis, it is caused by group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus and occurs mainly in children between six months and 10 years of age. Symptoms include fever, perhaps high fever.
