Ectrodactyly-polydactyly syndrome is a very rare congenital limb malformation syndrome of genetic origin which is characterized a combination of ectrodactyly and polydactyly in the same distal limb: underdevelopment or absence of the central fingers/toes of the hands/feet and the presence of an extra digit in the same limb, that is, a poorly to fully developed digit that can only be categorized as an extra digit because of its inappropiate placing besides the fifth or first digit. Only 4 cases coming from the same family have been described in medical literature. No new cases have been described since then.
