PET response criteria in solid tumors is a set of rules that define when tumors in cancer patients improve , stay the same , or worsen during treatment, using positron emission tomography. The criteria were published in May 2009 in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine. A pooled analysis from 2016 concluded that its application may give rather different results from RECIST, and might be a more suitable tool for understanding tumor response to treatment.
