Option 2 : Wet skin
Wet skin is good conductor of electricity. This is because:
- About 70% of the body is made up of water and various ions such as Na+, K+, Cl- are present in the water.
- Salt water provides a large surface area of contact for the conductive element and it connects with the sweat glands so electricity can flow past the skin and into your body.
- Thus the resistance of wet skin is becomes low and is about 1000 Ω and so current can pass at greater rate for wet skin as compared to dry one.
