- Bridge circuits are used very commonly as a variable conversion element in measurement systems and produce an output in the form of a voltage level that changes as the measured physical quantity changes.

- The bridge condition is Z1Z4 = Z2Z3. Hence, the balanced equation is independent of the magnitude of its input voltage and its source impedance.
- During the balanced condition of the bridge, zero current flows through the detector. Hence, the balanced equation is independent of the sensitivity of the null detector.
- The bridge circuit can be used in a control circuit.
