Concept:
- Mastitis -> infection and inflammation of breast tissue
- Chills, fever, malaise, redness, discharge can be found
- Infection is the most common cause sometimes even the clogged milk can lead to mastitis
- NSAIDs, antibiotics, analgesics and breast massage and breast feeding can reduce the incidence
- Ductal ectasia -> non cancerous condition where the walls of milk duct will be enlarged and causes matitis
- This can be commonly seen among women who are nearing to menopause
