Maldives has pledged 200,000 US dollars to the COVID - 19 Emergency Relief Fund, created by PM Narendra Modi to combat the infection in SAARC countries.
The Foreign Minister of Maldives Abdulla Shahid welcomed Mr Modi's initiative and India's pledge of 10 million US dollars to the fund.
The fund is based on voluntary contributions and can be used by any partner country.
