Option 2 : B
The error in the sentence is in part B.
- “Drink” has two third forms, i.e. drunk and drunken. “Drunk” is used as a past participle of “drink” while “drunken” is used as past participle adjective. The sentence needs the verb “drunk” and not “drunken”. See the difference:
- He drank too much last night.
- I saw a drunken man.
- Therefore the correct sentence will be “Vikas lost control over himself as he had drunk too much in the new year party.”
- Hence option 2 is the correct answer.
