Acid rain is due to low pH and acidic in nature. It is caused due to emissions of Oxides of Sulphur and Nitrogen which when react with water molecules form Sulphuric and Nitogenic acids. Carbon or Hydrogen doesn’t reacts in such manner to form acids in the atmosphere.
