Alamgirpur is located on the banks of Hindon river (tributary of Yamuna). The ancient mound of Alamgirpur, known locally as Parasuram - ka - khera, is easternmost site of Indus Valley civilisation. It was discovered in 1959 by Y.D. Sharma.
