Option 4 : 5, 1, 2, 3, 6, 4
First letter for all words is ‘S’, so neglect the first letter and look for second letter.
As per second letter, ‘O’ comes before ‘U’. Thus, all words with second letter ‘O’ come prior to words with second letter ‘U’. But, we have many words which have second letter either ‘O’ or ‘U’ so just looking at second letter we cannot put all the words in order, hence we need to look for third letter.
Let’s consider words with second letter ‘O’, and if we look closely then we find that three words have first three letters common i.e. ‘SOL’. So we will have to look for fourth letter, where ‘I’ comes first, then comes ‘U’ and then lastly comes ‘V’. So, order will be Solitary, Solution, Solvent.
For words containing second letter as ‘O’, as per third letter, ‘L’ comes before ‘M’. Hence, ‘Some’ comes fourth in order. So, order is Solitary, Solution, Solvent, Some.
Similarly, as per third letter for words containing second letter as ‘U’, ‘M’ comes before ‘R’ hence Summoning will come before Surmount.
Thus, the dictionary order is Solitary, Solution, Solvent, Some, Summoning, Surmount.
Thus, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6, 4 is the correct order.
