Cancer is a disease in which the cells divide uncontrollably forming tumours. Throat cancer is cancer of the voice box and other parts of the throat. It is not caused by smog.

Smog comprises of soot, particulate matter and harmful gases which when inhaled cause respiratory distress and on prolonged exposure can lead to asthma, emphysema, and other breathing problems.
