Option 1 : Public Undertakings Committee
Public Undertakings Committee is responsible for Examine the reports and accounts of Public Sector Undertakings(PSU's).
- It was created by the Parliament of India for the purpose of reviewing public sector undertakings (PSUs) reports and accounts as stated in the fourth schedule of the Rules of Procedure and Business Conduct in Lok Sabha.
- This committee is the three financial standing committees of the Parliament of India, along with the Public Accounts Committee ( PAC) and the Estimates Committee (EC).
- The committee is composed of twenty-two members, fifteen elected by Lok Sabha, the Parliament's lower house, and no more than seven members of Rajya Sabha, Parliament's upper house.
- The members are elected by a single transferable vote each year from among its members of the respective houses according to the principle of proportional representation.
- The Lok Sabha speaker appoints the Chairperson.
