Option 2 : 3 : 2

Given:

Let the sum taken by Omprakash and Pappu be x and y.

Time = 3 years

Formula:

Simple Interest = (Principal × rate of interest × time)/100

Calculation:

Simple Interest by Omprakash = x × 20 × 3/100 = 60x/100

Simple Interest by Pappu = y × 30 × 3/100 = 90y/100

According to question

Simple interest by Omprakash = Simple Interest by Pappu

⇒ 60x/100 = 90y/100

⇒ x/y = 3/2

⇒ x : y = 3 : 2

∴ The Ratio of sum of Omprakash and Pappu is 3 : 2
