Given:

Ratio of sides of cuboid = 2 : 4 : 3

Total surface area of cuboid = 468 cm2

Formula used:

Total surface area of cuboid = 2 (lb + bh + hl)

Volume of cube = l × b × h

Area of cube = (side)3

Calculation:

Let the sides of the cuboid be 2x, 4x and 3x respectively.

Total surface area of cuboid = 2 = 468

⇒ 8x2 + 6x2 + 12x2 = 234

⇒ x = 3

Volume of the cuboid = 2x × 3x × 4x = 24x3

Volume of 1 cube = Volume of cuboid/24 = 24x3/24 = x3

Side of 1 cube = 3√(x3) = x = 3 cm

When all the 24 cubes are queued in a line then it will form a cuboid

Sides of cuboid will be 3 cm, 3 cm and 3 × 24 = 72 cm respectively

Now,

Total surface area = 2 = 882 cm2
