Option 3 : C
Part C of the sentence contains error.
‘his’ should be replaced with ‘him’. ‘his’ is a ‘possessive form of pronoun’ and used to ‘indicate ownership’, while ‘him’ is an ‘objective form of pronoun’ which is used to ‘refer to a person already mentioned earlier’.
Let us take examples to understand better:
- Ravi is a nice guy. Everybody likes him.
- Shivam is a notorious child. His behavior annoys everyone.
Since, the victim student is being referred in this part, therefore ‘him’ must be used.
Correct sentence- ‘The victim student claims he was intercepted by four senior students, who allegedly assaulted him with sticks and blunt objects.’
