Option 5 : 11 : 10

Let us consider the present age of A, B, C and D as A years, B years, C years and D years respectively.

 given, A = 4B + B

⇒ A = 5B

Also, B = 2C/3

⇒ C = 3B/2

And, D = 2C + C

⇒ D = 3C

Replacing C in terms of B we get,

D = 9B/2

And, A - C = 21

⇒ 5B - 3B/2 = 21

⇒ B = 6 years

⇒ A = 30 years

⇒ C = 9 years and D = 27 years

∴ the ratio of age of A and D, 3 years from now = 30 + 3 : 27 + 3 = 11 : 10

Hence (e) is the correct option.
