Under normal circumstances, election process to fill the vacancy caused by expiration of the term of office of President which is of 5 years, shall be completed before Expiration of that term. But an election to fill the vacancy in office of President occuring due to his death, resignation or impeachment or otherwise, shall be held within 6 months from the date of occurance of such vacancy.
