পার্বত্য অঞ্চলের পরে সমভূমি প্রবাহের শুরুতে নদী উপত্যকায় বিভিন্ন আকৃতির শিলাখন্ড অবক্ষেপিত হয়ে তিনকোণা অর্থাৎ শংকুর মত আকৃতির ভুমিরূপ সৃষ্টি হলে তাকে পলল শংকু (Alluvial Cone) বলে ।
