Correct answer is 40 cm. Let, breadth x cm & length 2x cm ∴ Area = 2x2 length decreased by 5 cm 2x2 length = 2x - 5 breadth increased by 5 cm 2x2 breadth = x + 5 Area increased by 75 cm2 ∴(x + 5)2x - 5 - 2x2 = 75 ⇒ 2x2  - 5x + 10x - 25 - 2x2 = 75 ⇒ 5x - 25 = 75 ⇒ 5x = 1000 ∴ x = 20 breadth = 20 cm length = 20×2 cm = 40 cm.
