Taka 10 polymer note was first introduced in Bangladesh in Correct Answer 2000

On 14th December 2000, Bangladesh issued a 10 Taka polymer note. Although the issue occurred within a week of delivery of the notes, it was a long time coming as the issuing authority, Bangladesh Bank, actively considered a complete polymer issue in the early 1990's. It is understood that extensive negotiations were held with Note Printing Australia (NPA). For whatever reason, the issue did not proceed. As it turned out the 14th December issue was not without controversy. On 21st December 2000, Bangladesh Bank announced suspension of the issuing process until January 2001.
